I Got a Speeding Ticket Last April. and the COURT DATE is June 16, but my Cal-DL will expire before June 16 - Do I need to pay the bail w/ traffic school fee or just pay the bail?

Mike in California asks: I Got a Speeding Ticket Last April. and the COURT DATE is June 16, but my Cal-DL will expire before June 16, for some reason I cant get an Extension/Renewal for my DL.

Do I need to pay the bail w/ traffic school fee or just pay the bail? Do the traffic school ask for VALID DL to register? ?

Jonny Driving School Hey Mikey - a tough question, here's the best answer I can give you:

You need to pay your bail amount. You must pay the traffic school administration fee if you are planning on taking traffic school. The traffic school will ask for your Driver’s License number when you register, however the traffic school does not check whether it’s valid or not.

The reason you take traffic school is so your insurance rates don’t increase, and the point is removed from your driving record. It may be helpful to take traffic school if you are planning to renew your driver’s license in the future.

Hope that Help Mikey!!

Until next time, pay your bail, pay the traffic school administration fee, renew your driver’s license, and earn your permit certificate!
